Creatine Dosage

The general rule of thumb for creatine monohydrate is that you need 1g per 40lbs of bodyweight per day. It is best taken when your body's nutrient uptake is at its peak: half of your daily serving first thing in the morning, and the other half immediately after workout. Both of these servings can be supplemented by amino acids and any other supplements that you take on an empty stomach. Many large bodybuilders use more creatine than this, but start with these dosages and add ~5g creatine pre-workout as well to see if you notice any changes after a few months of standard dosage. If using kre-alkalyn, you can divide your dosage by 5, as less is required (.2g per 40lbs bodyweight).
