It is well understood that as we age, our body’s natural production of collagen decreases. This leads to wrinkles, sagging skin, sore ligaments, and overall visible signs of aging. While our mortality cannot be disputed, hydrolyzed collagen supplementation has been found to deliver bio-active peptides to the skin and connective tissues . Over time, consistent hydrolyzed collagen supplementation can even deliver visible reductions in skin wrinkles and sagging [2, 3]. Recent evidence exists suggesting hydrolyzed collagen may also aid in recovery for athletes , bone structure , and joint health . However, these effects are not nearly as pronounced and supported in comparison to skin health.
