Energy Gel Dosage
Recommended dosage for Energy Gels:
Take an energy gel with water every 45 minutes during a long (60+ minute) race. It is important to test your energy gel during a long practice before using them in a race. Also be sure to calculate your caloric needs to determine if you need other sports drinks during your race.
Note that taking 5g BCAAs and 3-4g of beta alanine spread out before and during your race will decrease fatigue and soreness. Most energy gels do not have these amazing products inside.
