Beta Alanine Side Effects

From the full text of this beta-alanine study, 2 of 6 recipients of 40mg of beta-alanine per kg of bodyweight caused symptoms of skin irritation, flushing, and/or a tingly sensation 20 minutes after ingestion. Flushing occurred on the ears, forehead, scalp, chest, arms, and buttocks. Lower dosages of 10mg per kg of bodyweight caused far less sensation in these users. Continual use for 4 weeks in the study showed non-toxicity and blood health markers were normal.

Here at PricePlow we do not get these sensations and we highly endorse using beta alanine before endurance training/competitions.

Is Beta Alanine safe?

Despite some of the side effects listed above, beta alanine has been shown safe to use for up to a month at a time.
